Frontrunners Athletes Qualify for World Mountain Running Championships
James Richardson at Mt Doug GutBusterWe would like to congratulate two of our store sponsored athletes.  James Richardson and Emily Solsberg who run for the Ceevacs Running Club recently qualified for the World Mountain Running Championships taking place in Sierre, Switzerland this fall.  The qualifying race took place on July 19th at Mt Seymour and James placed 6th overall and Emily placed 7th overall which earned them both a spot on the national team.

Gary Reed Breaks Canadian 800m Record
Gary Reed at 2007 World ChampionshipsCanadian 800m runner, Gary Reed, recently broke his Canadian Record at the Herculis Monaco Grand Prix.  Reed's time of 1:43.68 lowered the previous mark of 1:43.93which he set 2 years ago in Italy.  Gary is amongst the top of the world in the 800m event and looks to be rounding into top shape just in time for this summers Olympic Games in Beijing, China.  Read more for a race video and race results.
