Building on the popularity of the Nike+ Sportkit which connected your footwear to your iPod Nano transforming it into a speed and distance monitor. Nike has now taken simplicity to the next step by introducing the Nike+ Sportband. The SportBand is worn like a watch and receives real time information from a small sensor that is placed in your shoes. The SportBand displays the time, your speed, distance, and calories burned during your run or walk. After your workout you simply plug the SportBand into a USB port on your computer and it will upload all your information to your own Nike webpage where you can set goals, get training programs, view your workouts and personal bests, and challenge other runners from all over the world. Thanks to everyone for coming out to our 3rd Annual Spring Sale! It was hard to believe that it was spring today but runners showed that they will get out in any weather and we had a great turnout for the third year in a row.
