The 3rd annual Bear Mountain Resort Summit Challenge is Victoria's only uphill running race. The run starts at the base of Bear Mountain Parkway and winds its way up to Nicklaus Drive where it makes its final ascent to the summit. With panoramic ocean, mountain, and city views you won't even notice how hard your heart is pounding!

The 2nd annual Bear Mountain Resort 10k took place today under much calmer skies than last year. This years race featured a stay and run package, souvenir event garments, custom medals, and a carbo loading dinner the night before the race. We saw strong growth of the event this year with 251 runners and walkers taking on what is becoming known as "Canada's most challenging 10k road race".
